Lincoln High School Clean Up
by Annie Luong
There was a school clean up that took place on this date. The participants were from our school. First, the cabinet members announced a mixer game which is inspired by the Korean variety show, runningman. The objective of this game was that the last person of a group had to guess what the object is, based on their teams drawings. A reward was handed out to the winners. Later on, 4 groups were created and sent out to clean certain areas of the school. It was a great event in my opinion. A lot more members showed up compared to previous school events. Also, they seemed to be interacting with one another.
Coastal Clean Up

As the first key club event I attended I would say it was fantastic to say the least. When the fellow members met at the meet up location at Tom and Toms we disembarked to the creek shortly afterwards. Among the attendees were members from Crystal Division and Division 1 members from Cathedral. When we arrived at our destination we made quick work to get our safety gloves on and began to collect trash. A fellow member named Juan and I cleared debris from posts and dumped the contents in a trash bag. After the posts had been cleared, members such as Justin, Edgar, and Matthew began gathering small bits and pieces of plastic, Styrofoam, and cigarette butts that were on the side of the creek. Afterwards we went under a bridge and collect more trash. Then we took a 15 minute break and went to the local McDonald's to get food and socialize. When we came back we went to the opposite side of our meet up location and cleared more trash. There were metals, old bags, and an old seat which we put within our trash bags and collected. When the time came we returned to the entrance of the Creek The grand total of trash we picked up came to 137 pounds. Mr. Santo then called us back to the bus and we promptly returned to our meet up location. As a first time experience in Key Club it gave me a positive experience in hard work, communication, and teamwork. Overall I gained new experience and new friends.
